Thank you to everyone who has been reading Curatorial Affairs over the last few months; it has been a pleasure to write and edit, and the response from you all has been beyond heartening. When not much seems to be going art criticism’s way these days, the continued support I have gotten from the CA readership has left no doubt that there is very much an active audience for insightful cultural criticism.Â
Yet, in order to achieve continued output, there must be continued input, which does not come without costs. To the best of my ability, the writers who contribute to CA are paid a fair rate for their work, while the continued editorial and administrative duties go unpaid. I have chosen to keep my posts available for free, putting them behind a paywall only after 3 weeks, and to even make select posts available for free beyond that. It is with this in mind that I ask that anyone who feels it is feasible for them please consider purchasing a monthly subscription for £3.50. I hope to continue producing the publication for years to come, and have a number of collaborations I am excited to announce in the near future, but the only way to secure those prospects are through consistent funding.
If you have any questions at all, please do reach out and I would be happy to answer them. Thank you for your consideration and happy reading.
Kind Regards,Â
Jacob
